Famous For Killing Each Other: Music From and Inspired by Hatfields & McCoys by Kevin Costner and Modern West

Only two of these songs were actually in the movie, but Kevin Costner (who is also an excellent musician) tells a fascinating story of how he put together this folk album while on tour with Modern West and preparing for the role of Devil Anse in the TV miniseries Hatfields and McCoys. He often shared his insights with the band, and from it came this music inspired by the story. In These Hills, performed by Sara Beck, is emotional and unforgettable.
