Fall Computer Classes
We've scheduled our fall computer classes. Learn how to browse the internet, create documents, manage tasks, and even crunch numbers! If you aren't sure which classes you'd be interested in, descriptions of the courses are available. (If the course you want isn't on the schedule right now, we can put you on the waiting list and call you when we do schedule it.) Stop by the main desk and sign up at any time.
Book Discussion Group
Our first-Thursday book discussion group now meets at the library. Each month we all read the same book then come together to discuss it. If you are interested in joining the group, contact Cyndi

Movie at the Library
Join us in the community room for an afternoon movie matinee. We'll watch the movie together on our big screen. Refreshments are provided.

Fall Chess
The best thing about fall is chess at the library!

Nuts and Bolts Chess Set Workshop
Come in to make a chess set out of metal parts from the hardware store, and get a short lesson on basic chess, too! This program is intended to recruit new chess players, but existing chess club members are also welcome. There is a limit for this program, so please register at the Children's Room desk to reserve your spot. Sat, Sep 27th, 1-3pm.

Anime Club
Films, speakers, food, and cosplay. No registration required, just come.
Beads! Beads! Beads!
Create a bracelet of your own design, and take it home! For kids in grades K-2. No charge, but registration is required. Sat, Sep 20th, 1-2pm.
Beading and Jewelry Making
Come in and try out a new craft, and get ideas for holiday gifts. Make a bracelet or necklace to take home. Registration is required. We'll have fashion beads, letter beads, Halloween beads, and beads for guys to make, too. Mon, Oct 13th, 6:30-8:15pm.

Books with Bite: Teen Read Week
Area teens will be reading for the fun of it as we celebrate the eleventh annual Teen Read Week, October 12th-18th. This year’s theme encourages teens to read a wide variety of books and graphic novels, from animals to vampires to cooking, just for the fun of it.
Death of a Vampire: Mystery Night
Play a role in the story and try to solve the mystery! Registration is required. Play the film star, the writer, the constable, the serving wench, the vampire hunter, the Romanian princess, the butler, the supernatural investigator, or the passing motorist! Stop by the main desk to sign up and get your character sheet. Sat, Oct 18th, 7-10pm.
Board of Trustees meeting
The Galion Public Library Board of Trustees meets monthly in the Board Room.
Used Book Sale
The Friends of the Library will be holding their fall Used Book Sale in the Community Room at the library. Sat, Nov 8th, 9-4pm, Fri, Nov 7th, 9-5pm, and Thu, Nov 6th, 9-8pm.
Twilight Party
If you know who the Cullens are and have chosen to be on Team Jacob or Team Edward, you may be interested in this party for fans of the best-selling series Twilight. Join other fans at the library to enjoy Cliff Diving for Twilight Trivia, taste Bella's Sweetheart Punch, and view trailers for the upcoming movie. Door prizes will be awarded. Registration is required, but there is no charge for this program. Fri, Nov 14th, 7-9pm.
Teen Board Shopping Trip
The Teen Board will be taking a trip to Barnes & Noble to purchase materials for the Young Adult collection. If you are interested in being a part of the Teen Board, speak to Ellen. Sat, Nov 15th.
