Teen D&D Club
Individuals in grades 6 - 12 are invited to join us for Dungeons and Dragons on the 4th Thursday of the month! Sign is required; you can sign up at the library or call us at 419-468-3203. Spots are limited. Game starts at 6pm and runs as late as 8pm. Dice and character will be provided if needed. Snacks and drinks will be available.
Reindeer Boot Camp
Join us for reindeer activities, including races and an obstacle course. Fri, Dec 9th, 12:30-3pm.
Lego Club
Children and teens of all ages (and their families) are invited to drop in and build. No registration is required.

Teen Advisory Board
Individuals in grades 6-12 are invited to help us make decisions for future teen programs and teen book purchases. For the next three Months, TAB will occur different than normal. In May on Tuesday the 23rd, in June on Wednesday the 21st, and in July on Wednesday, the 19th.
Teen Game Night
Individuals in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for board games, card games and video games. No registration is required. You are welcome to bring one of your own or come play one of the many games we own. For the next three Months, Teen Game Night will occur different than normal. In May on Tuesday the 23rd, in June on Wednesday the 21st, and in July on Wednesday, the 19th.
Reading Dragons & Friends
Reading program where we get fun trading cards by reading for 30 minutes. The cards can be used to play games like rock paper scissors, and war. Sign-Up is required
Trivia Night
Come show off your knowledge at trivia night! Winners receive free books! Adults and teens ages 16+ are welcome. Questions may span a wide range of topics, anywhere from literature to music to history! Answers will be multiple choice. You may play as a team or solo competitor!
Candy Kingdom Reading Program
Join us on this sweet reading adventure. We have opportunities for claw machines, stickers, and fun, for ages birth through kindergarten. This is a revamped version of our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program.
Coffee & Coloring
From 3PM-4PM please join us at 3 Bean Coffee House for an hour of cozy coloring and drinks! All ages are welcome! We have both simple and complex coloring pages available. The only cost to you is your drink of choice! We hope to see you there! This event happens monthly on every 2nd Wednesday.
Coffee Tasting
Please join us from 2PM-3PM for a coffee tasting! We will go over how to make a pour-over and how to identify the flavor palette of a coffee. We will also explore the differences between roast types, as well as cover the four fundamentals of crafting a good cup of coffee at home! Wed, Jan 18th, 2-3pm.
Valentine's Day Paint Night
We will go through a guided Valentine's Day themed painting together to create our own heart-shaped lollipop painting! Canvases will be 3x3! This event is open to teens and adults. Thu, Feb 2nd, 6-7:30pm.
Bingo for Books
Come in and play bingo, winners leave with a new book of their choice! There will be plenty of opportunities to win too; Cards will be played through until we get three bingo winners each round! We'll be playing from 6PM-7:30PM. Always free to play! This is a bi-monthly event! We will play bingo for books on the 2nd to last Monday of the month.
Music Share
Do you have good taste in music? Or are you looking for new music to listen to? Look no further; Music Share lets you share and discover new music, recommended by people like you who have a shared passion for it. Open to adults and teens ages 15+! Bring a selection of songs or an album that you'd like to share that you think other people should be listening to! We'll all sit and listen to it together and discuss it as we like. Adult Game Night
Please join us for adult game night on the final Monday of every month! We'll choose what game(s) we will be playing for the night as a group. The start time for this event is flexible beginning at 5:30PM, late attendees will be added to the game we're playing as able! We will be wrapping up at 8:00PM. We hope to see you there! Cocoa and Cookies

Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Bring your stuffed animal to the library for a sleepover and see what kind of mischief they can get into! For ages birth to 8 yrs old. Crafts will be available but limited, on a first come first served basis. If you do not receive a craft, you can still have your stuffed animal sleep over.

Family Movie Night
All ages are invited to join us for a newly released movie. No registration is required, but space may be limited. The movie starts at 5! Bring a pillow and blanket and get comfy! Popcorn and drinks will be served. Children under 8 must be accompanied.
Adult Dungeons and Dragons
A Dungeons and Dragons campaign for players ages 17+! Any amount of experience is welcome, from new adventurers to those who have been on the path since 1E! Sign-up IS required. Adult DnD will be held on the final Tuesday of every month from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Seats are limited to a total of SIX players. Send an email to nico@galionlibrary.org for inquiry! Please include your first and last name, your age, and your phone number (this is for us to reach out to you in the event of any session cancellations or session specific information). You will receive an email back either confirming your seat at the table, or letting you know that all seats have already been filled. Those who reach out after we've closed sign-ups will be added to a contact list of on-call players. These people will be contacted if a seat opens up for a new player to join!
Craft Night
Come together to create on the first Thursday of every month, starting at 6pm! Ages 13+ are welcome and our programs are always free. Information on what we'll be crafting is available on our Facebook page!
Adult Game Night
A game night for adults ages 18+ Reoccurring every final Monday of the month from 5:30PM-8:00PM. Snacks and refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring your own as well! We'll decide what to play as a group or split off into smaller groups if it's a split decision. Anything from cards to board games is on the table!

Poetry Reading
In celebration of April being national poetry month, please join us for a poetry reading! All ages welcome, no sign-up. Together, We'll be reading a collection of our favorite poems; If you'd like, Bring your favorite sonnet to share or simply sit in and listen! We would love local poets to share their work! Adult Spelling Bee
Partnering with the Bucyrus Public Library, join us for our very first Adult Spelling Bee hosted at The 1803 Taproom! Ages 18+ only, sign-up is REQUIRED for participants. Audience members are welcome and encouraged! Prizes: 3rd place, $15 Barnes and Noble gift card; 2nd place, $25 Barnes and Noble gift card; 1st place, $50 Barnes and Noble gift card. Additional prizes will be given for participation. This event is only for adults ages 18+. Sign-up is REQUIRED and may be done through the Galion or Bucyrus Public Libraries in person or via phone call or email to Nico (Galion) or Kate (Bucyrus). Sign-ups close with the library on June 1st, 2023. Email addresses and phone numbers are available on the libraries' respective websites.

On Friday, July 21st from 4 to 5, we are painting on tiny canvas! For children and teens ages 12 to 18. All materials provided, no sign-up required, and you get to take home your canvases!

Wet Paint

The Ohio Wildlife Center will be visiting the Galion Public Library with several of their animal ambassadors. Come and learn about the local wildlife in your backyard. Thu, Jun 8th at 1pm.
